This year's series of major fighting games tournaments will amp up next with Devastation, then climax with the most prestigious event of the Western scene: the decade old Evolution Championship Series.

The hype meter is bursting with the new announcements delivered by tournament director and Shoryuken.com founder, Tom "inkblot" Cannon.

He basically confirms the rumours of 2000+ competitors in Super Street Fighter IV, doubling the bracket numbers from EVO 2009. This is perhaps the biggest open tournament in recent times, with players from over 20 countries.

EVO 2010 World Finals will feature:
